Borealis is a provider of plastics products; in particular those based on polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP).
Borealis is owned by IPIC (65%) and OMV (35%).

Borealis is a partner with companies developing plastics products such as food packaging, diapers, appliances, automotive parts, distribution pipes for water, gas and sewage, power cables, sporting equipment and medical devices.
Borouge, founded in 1998, is a joint venture between Borealis and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
