BOP Magazine was founded in 1985 and is published by Laufer Media, Inc., from Hollywood, California. It continues to be a top teen publication and can be found in supermarkets, bookstores, and magazine stands across North America.

BOP Magazine has followed pop culture from the arrival of MTV to the present. The magazine is published monthly and contains news, quizzes, trivia, and dozens of posters in each issue. Its website has a huge following and offers weekly contests, polls, quizzes and content centered around top teen celebrities such as Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, Billie Joe Armstrong, Jesse McCartney, Kelly Clarkson; and bands such as Green Day, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, B5, The Click Five, Simple Plan, and the All-American Rejects.

Laufer Media, Inc. also publishes Tiger Beat Magazine.
