Bonifacio is a 4th class municipality in the province of Misamis Occidental, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 27,810 people in 5,502 households.

Bonifacio town was established by Don Demetrio P. Fernan in 1942. He was then the first mayor of Bonifacio.
