Bonding Memories (Japanese: 「思い出の定着」 - Omoide no Teichaku) is episode 24 of the Fullmetal Alchemist TV series originally aired 2004-03-20.
Scar is hidden amongst other refugees from Ishbal, still recovering from his fight at the Central Library with Lust and Gluttony. The refugee camp is attacked by a group of mercenaries wielding alchemical weapons, and Barry the Chopper. Edward is searching for Alphonse around Central. Al meets a couple of young Ishbalans from the refugee camp, Rick and Leo, as they hide in an alleyway after stealing some fruit. The youngsters have been helping to nurse Scar back to health, and Al meets Scar again when he accompanies them to the camp. Rick is kidnapped by the mercenaries on the way back from finding his mother's locket, which he had lost. Al, Scar and Leo pursue the mercenaries to their base of operations. Ed and Winry catch up to Al at the mercenaries' camp, and Ed chooses the middle of the battle to ask his question: Does Al hate him for being nothing but a soul attached to a suit of armor, the direct result of their failed attempt to resurrect their mother?
