[edit] Vandalism
I would say that there is vandalism in Macedonia (region) by 62.162.188.110 and user: Andrej Machkovski (sock puppets?). Even though it might be interpreted that they 'edit' in favour of 'ethnic Macedonian' irredentism, I would say they are harming your (?) cause and the article. Politis 15:43, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] and another Poll...
Hi. There's a debate about how much "X-ian" one must be in order to be considered "X-American" (or X-Yian for that matter) and be categorized as such. The poll is here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Ethnic groups/Rules for lists of X-Americans. Kindly weigh in! :NikoSilver: 21:52, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] DeFYROMing
That word's funny ;-) --Tēlex 14:21, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
What is so funny about it? De Fyroming is that ancient family that invented everything there is to know about anything that exists :-). Politis 14:45, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Vardar Macedonia"
Hello :)
I have tried to clarify someone's post of the term "Vardar Macedonia" on my "Jews in the Republic of Macedonia" article. I am not sure if the term is a loaded Greek or Macedonian term -- take a look at the article if ou get a chance and let me know what you think. I have also messaged Telex to get his thoughts...
Cheers :) AWN2 16:22, 10 July 2006 (UTC)AWN2AWN2 16:22, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pitanje
- Did you have no trouble understanding this, or should I translate to Cyrillic or English? Bye and glad to hear from you! --HRE 17:37, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
--HRE 18:36, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Nego ono sto mene zanima je (bas) srednjovekovna istorija. Ako ne znas sam licno o njoj detaljno, mozes mi i dati neki link (iako donekle, umem ja citati makedonski jezik). --HRE 18:50, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, you do have a point. However, he was a member of BMARC. It's not false date, it's incomplete data. At least it does not say he's not an ethnic Macedonian. --Kiro Gligorov 11:47, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dont take things personally. U R lowering the level here friend...
Talking of bad english... This phrase does seem to make sense. Am i not entitle to change it? Seems not.
(In any case between you and me there is no seperate history and if you beleive so please make some reffereces to you sources).
The lack of refferences is quite evident in the whole of the text. I do not see why i should provide bibliography for altering (in good faith) passages that state important but in a way unaccurate facts and do not have any reffences to back them up. In any case, i will do so if anyone asks me for it but i wont lose my time when it seems that certain people are quite satisfied with their wotk and do not accept comments and corrections.(but if this is the case they should not write here, really)
As for the ancient period paragraph. It is quite misleading since it does not refer to ancient times at all. Propably should exclude all the passage from text. It is indeed a controversial article and a very amusing one to follow up, from its creation to the seemingly result. Is like drafting a treaty between hostal tribes. The fact that large parts of the outcome derive from original contributions with very clear, highly nationalistic positions for the one (mostly) and the other side is absolutely charming.
Considering all that, i think that i propably could lower my expectations but of course not abandon them. This article has flaws and can be improved. The fact that is controversial should not be considered a problem. There is no thing like status quo ante in wiki as far as i know. In any case my alterations reffer to comonly accepted facts undisputed by all sides. I will sincerely continue keeping you company in your efforts. Thanks in advance Haas
ps: i am not a freak nationalist. The choice of words should be more carefull. You are lowering the level here Bomac (and may i add: an impresseive page, wow! I wonder if you can tell the same thing for yourself...)
[edit] Much ado about nothing...
No, no puppet. I was puzzled seeing the "freak comment", do not really deserve it i think. I could not see to who other than me you reffered to, at the time. So much ado about nothing... See you around Haas
[edit] Slavs
Regarding the identification of "ethnic Macedonians" as 'Slavs', what do you make of it? Do you know what the different opinions are in ROM/FYROM? To be honest with you I do not know what to think. The Slavomacedonian Greek Pavlos Koufis, a (deceased?) local historian, is happy with Slavomakedones (see Aegean Macedonia) and I respect his work and the love for his region in norhern Greece. As you realise, it is just about impossible for Greeks to say 'Madedonas' and not to identify the word with the Greeks of Makedonia. Of course, the same applies north of the border. I wish there was something acceptable that Greeks could call 'ethnic Macedonians' in ROM/FYROM. Believe me, the term 'Skopianoi' is not at all offensive, people fall in love and marry 'Skopians', they go shopping and gambling in Skopia (what you would call Macedonia). [edit] Ilinden-Preobrazhenie
Now, what was that, "there are reliable sources"? I'm not removing anything, it's User:Vbb-sk-mk who removes a perfectly valid flag which is obviously in the public domain by claiming it's "unlicenced". And that's because he simply doesn't like it. Please don't blindly support such Macedonian nationalist behaviour, but review other users' edits before reverting. We're all trying to be neutral here, so having the two flags is the best we can get. Regards, Todor→Bozhinov 15:02, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Adam of Macedonia
Thank you! :) Indeed we are заедно појаки! --Djordje D. Bozovic
If you remove the disambiguation "Macedonian Slav" from that section, the paragraph simply won't make any sense. I find it silly to keep a badly written article just because some editors can't accept common english terminology. Miskin 16:26, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- That's intersting cos I have a bunch of anglophone sources which refer to the Slavophones of Macedonia either as Bulgarians or Macedonian Slavs. In fact I've never met with an english source that refers to the historical region of Macedonia and to an "ethnic Macedonian" group without using the term "Slavic" as a disambiguation. The use of "ethnic Macedonian" (which is Macedonian Slavic and Serbian terminology) was introduced in English after FYROM gained independence from Yugoslavia. Greek terminology would be something like "Skopjans" or "Skopje" for FYROM, but trust me, "Macedonian Slav" is very English (and I can re-cite sources anytime). Macedon is irrelevant here. As the article says Macedonians were completely assimilated to Greece by the 3nd c. BC, so whether or not they were Greek before is irrelevant altogether. Miskin 16:43, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
As Tekleni said. Miskin 17:22, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Constitution
Is the current Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia the very same from 1990? If not, what are the differences? Could you also please introduce me into the old Communist Constitutions?
Thanks a lot in advance. Поздрав! --PaxEquilibrium 00:00, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Hmm... but a time ago it was:
Во ред, Преамбулата на уставот на република македонија гласи вака:Република Македонија е држава на македонскиот народ,како и на албанците кои живеат vo nea,и на останатите народи во неa како што се срби,турци,власи итн.
As far as I see, Serbs are missing, and Romanies are in there... I don't understand...
What's the difference between 1991 and 1995? Also, is there a viewable version from 1974 (I don't need English version really - I thought you new that ;). --PaxEquilibrium 00:45, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Хвала! --PaxEquilibrium 16:34, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
The reason why I was asking all those questions is that I wanted to know which nations were granted constitutional status and which deprived of it in the new Republic of Macedonia (Serbs, Turks, Romas, Vlachs?). I am especially referring to the Albanians, since I heard so many complains from them. Do yah know anythin' 'bout it? --PaxEquilibrium 18:16, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I've heard complains that Macedonia changed the status of Albanians through the Constitution, depriving them of their rights or something like that (similar to what happened to Serbs in Croatia), in hopes of one way or another removing the Albanian population from Macedonia... I also heard something about a united "Yugoslav Serbo-Macedonian Anti-Albanian Alliance" sponsored by Greece. --PaxEquilibrium 19:04, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

- ..yea... I believe it was the Albanian Wikipedia... introduced by User:Dan (here known as User:Hipi Zhdripi). --PaxEquilibrium 21:41, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
