Bomere Heath

Bomere Heath is a village in Shropshire, England lying north of the county town of Shrewsbury and in between Baschurch and Harlescott. It is situated between the A528 and Berwick Road and is in the borough of Shrewsbury and Atcham. The village sports a newsagents, a post office, and a pub, The Red Lion.

It is the main village of the Pimhill parish, formerly chaired by Brian Watts, also of Bomere Heath. The parish is known as "Bomere Heath and District" these days.

The village has a football team, Bomere Heath FC, (formerly Red Lion FC). The manger is Clive PODD, who has guided the team to the second division in the Shrewsbury district Sunday league, after gaining successive promotions. The team have a new pitch which is just on the outskirts of the village next to the cricket pitch. The football pitch is considered to be one of the best in the league.

The team also has a succesfull youth set up which has seen some of the youngsters progress to the first team and has been compared by some, to the youth set up at Crewe Alexandra, allbeit on a smaller scale.
