Bomberman II is a video game developed and published by Hudson Soft. It was initially released in Japan for the Famicom on June 28, 1991 and subsequently in the United States on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1992.

After being framed by Black Bomberman, accused of robbing a bank and thrown in jail, White Bomberman's mission is to escape his prison cell. The game follows the classic Bomberman formula: in a room full of blocks and enemies, Shiro must plant bombs to destroy the blocks and enemies. Several blocks contain power-ups (such as blast radius increasers or fuse shorteners), and one in each level contains a door, which takes Shiro to the next level.

In total there are 48 levels, with a bonus game every six. Passwords are given after game over, recording the level, number of bombs, and strength of bombs. These passwords can be entered when the game starts allowing the player to continue where they left off. After Level 6-8 (the final level) is cleared, a password to unlock the Sound Test is given.

There are two multiplayer modes, one for two players and the other for three; the objective being to kill the opposing Bomberman by planting bombs. An NES Four Score is required to play the three player mode.
