Bombarral

Bombarral (pron. IPA: [bõbɐ'ʁaɫ]) is a Portuguese village in Leiria's district, Centre Region and West subregion. Its average population is around 5,500 inhabitants.

It is the headquarters of Bombarral County (concelho), with 90.44 km² of area and 13,325 inhabitants (2001 values), subdivided into 5 freguesias (smaller administrative areas in the county). It is bordered by Óbidos in the north, Caldas da Rainha in the northeast, Cadaval in the southeast, and Lourinhã in the southwest.
