[edit] Fictional character biobraphy

Bomb Queen was originally part of a quartet of super villains called, THE FOUR QUEENS, who reigned over New Port City. When all the super heroes in town were killed, and the remaining Queens murdered, Bomb Queen took control over local government and formed it into a city of crime, ruled specifically by her dictatorship.

New Port City's "No Heroes" law made the town a magnet for criminals across America. This pleased politicians in Washington DC, due to the lowered crime rates in other states. However, the government while happy with the results don't care for the self-elected leadership of Bomb Queen. Washington would prefer a regime change, but without rocking the boat and causing the criminals to flee. To win the hearts and minds of New Port City the government has secretly funded anti-Bomb Queen campaigns with politicians, superheroes, and other villains - all to no avail. The secret campaign continues on.

Meanwhile, Bomb Queen's city of crime continues to flourish. Crime is high which builds infrastructure for the city commerce. The employment continues to grow and the city coffers are overflowing with laundered money. In short, New Port City is a success on par with Las Vegas. What goes on in New Port City, stays there. Crime law within the city limits are completely opposite the rest of the country. This also results in private local affiliate TV stations, Intranet, and regional cable stations with unrated content - often of Bomb Queen herself in pornographic films from her townhouse.

The restriction of the city limits keeps Bomb Queen confined in her city of crime, but also presents extreme danger if she were to ever leave - where the law is ready and waiting. This was illustrated in the one-shot comic, BOMB QUEEN VS. BLACKLIGHT (Aug. 2006) Shadowline / Image Comics, Inc.. Bomb Queen, in disguise, travels to Las Vegas in search of a weapon prototype at a gun convention and runs into Blacklight, who was also visiting Las Vegas for a comic convention.

[edit] Mini-series

Under the Image Comics Shadowline banner, Bomb Queen stars in her own mini-series, special crossover, TPB and new mini-series. These are denoted by Roman numerals and subtitles instead of the more traditional sequential order.

The goal to rid New Port City of the Queen ends up destroying much of the town, which turns the tide against Woods. The people themselves get into the fight.

[edit] Ashe

Much can't be said about Bomb Queen without the addition of her faithful sidekick and pet cat, Ashe. The all black cat has mysterious origins, some supernatural. Much can be read between the lines in the bios of the FOUR QUEENS found in BOMB QUEEN WMD. Ashe has mysterious connections to South America, and the ancient black cats of the Mayan empire. His origin weaves between all the Queens resulting in tragedy and death until he finally pairs with Bomb Queen. Some believe Ashe is the ultimate in bad luck, as seen in the first Bomb Queen mini-series, and the short story in the trade paperback collection. Needless to say, though Bomb Queen has her range of explosive devices it is Ashe that has come through to save the day - as seen in the One-Shot crossover with heroine Blacklight.

[edit] Bibliography

Bomb Queen issues #1 to #4 were collected into a trade called, BOMB QUEEN: WMD WOMAN OF MASS DESTRUCTION (Aug. 2006) Image comics, Inc.. This was packaged along with 40 extra pages of content which included behind the scenes creation of the character, bio stats, a short story, and samples of online comic strips, featuring; Bomb Queen, Blacklight, ShadowHawk and Nocturm - all from the Shadowline Universe.
