[edit] Objective

The object of Bolo Adventures I is to navigate a Mr. Bolo to the exit stairs in each of the 40 rooms or levels. In different rooms, the player encounters various obstacles which can kill the main character, such as robots and laser cannons.

[edit] Gameplay

Gameplay consists of moving objects such as pink balls in front of lasers which block your escape, avoiding enemies (mostly robots) and bypassing obstacles.

Maneuvering objects is tricky due to the fact one is unable to pull objects - only push them in front of you. Once an item is pushed up against a wall it cannot be pushed back, consequently the sequence the player makes actions is critical. This concept of puzzle game play is similar to Sokoban.

There are further elements in gameplay such as rivers, electrified areas (which can kill players, destroy objects that are in the way or, when deactivated, release robots and other enemies) and switches (which turn off many of the dangers and deactivate enemies).

[edit] Sequels

Soleau software created two sequels to "Bolo Adventures I".
