Bokeem Woodbine (born April 13, 1973 in Harlem, New York, USA) is an African-American film and television actor. Bokeem attended the prestigious Dalton School in New York City. He also went to LaGuardia High School of Music & Art[1] in New York. He is known for his portrayal of memorable characters in such films as Dead Presidents, Jason's Lyric, Crooklyn, Life, Ray, and Gridlock'd. He recently starred as "Steppin' Razor" in Blade: The Series, being revealed as the guy who took care of Blade back when he was a little kid.
Woodbine is often the butt of jokes due to the fact that he is often typecast as a "thug" or criminally insane person. He has also been called the result of a cross between comedian Dave Chappelle and rapper Canibus, due to his physical resemblance to both entertainers. He is also joked about due to his unusual, yet undoubtedly recognizable voice. Despite this, Woodbine is currently pursuing a music career and is usually considered a fairly talented blues-rock singer and musician. A MySpace group called "Bokeem Woodbine is God" existed at one point, although its founder eventually deleted it due to a lack of interest in said group. The group was created presumably because of Woodbine's cult following, spawned from the fact that he often plays similar characters in several movies and TV appearances.
Woodbine made appearances in Wu-Tang video clips like Gravel Pit,Protect Ya Neck(The Jump Off),Careful(Click,Click) and in RZA's Ching Kung
