The Boise Burn an af2 team scheduled to begin play in 2007. The team will play at the Qwest Arena.

  • June 6, 2006: The af2 announces that Boise is getting a team to begin play in 2007.
  • June 28: The team announced that former Utah Blaze assistant coach Lee Leslie would serve as head coach.
  • July 27: The Idaho Statesman newspaper announced a "name-the-team" contest.
  • August 25: Balloting closed.
  • August 27: A poll was started. The "final six" choices were:
    • Blast
    • Bruisers
    • Cutthroats
    • Rapids
    • Sawtooths
    • Wildfire
  • October 10: Announced team name would be Boise Burn.
  • October 25: Logo & colors released, first 4 players signed (QB Bart Hendricks, RB Lee Marks, WR Tim Gilligan, K Dan Beardall)
