Bohdana Frolyak

Bohdana Frolyak (Ukrainian: Богдана Фроляк) is a Ukrainian composer born on May 5, 1968 in Vydyniv village, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine. She studied music at the Lviv State M. Lysenko Conservatoire. Bohdana graduated as a composer from there in 1991 and from then on, lectured composition there. She completed post-graduate studies with professors H. Ljashenko, and M. Skoryk. Bohdana was participated in many international festivals for contemporary music. She has also won the L. Revutsky Prize of the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Ukraine in 2000 and has been given the "Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung" in 2001. Mrs. Frolyak has composed a symphony and numerous chamber works. She is a member of the Ukrainian Composers’ Union.
