Boekel (North Holland)

Boekel (52°35′N 4°45′E) is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Castricum, and lies about 5 km south of Alkmaar. Until January 1, 2002, Boekel belonged to the municipality of Akersloot. The small village had a population of about 10 in 2001.[1]

Boekel is located on the west bank of the Noordhollandsch Kanaal.
