This once extensive page has been deleted, following a very narrow 8:7 vote for deletion, here. Just thought i'd put the link here, where it's nice and obvious, as it took me a while to find it.Spute 15:48, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
Also, people should see these pages on wiktionary for more appropriate places to put body part slang phrases. For example, breasts, penis, vagina. Spute 15:55, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
And as long as we're putting things where they're easy to find, if any editor considering whether to try to effectively undelete this page, please first read WP:ISNOT#Wikipedia is not a dictionary taking special note of point 3, "A usage guide, or slang and idiom guide." --Kgf0 17:22, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
Someone who's very good at debate (perhaps a lawyer) should nominate this article for undeletion. First vote was with no consensus and the second one had more votes to keep, but some of them IPs, and even discounting those it was a very close vote! It's an outrage! -Andrew 06:00, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
I don't see how it's an outrage to delete an article that very clearly violated WP:NOT. This article was much trouble for little benefit. Friday (talk) 06:09, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Deleting this article was clearly a bad omen for the Wikipedia. This was an extensive resource not available anywhere else. Further, there was apparently never an actual consensus to delete the article. It needs to be undeleted. — Stevie is the man! Talk | Work 18:45, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
- Rubbish. For starters, the table at the top of this talk page shows you exactly where there's a thesaurus of slang words for body parts. Please remember our Wikipedia is not a dictionary official policy, too. We are writing an encyclopaedia here. If you want to write a dictionary or a thesaurus, Wiktionary is right there and welcomes editors who want to do such things. Uncle G 00:09, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- WP:NOT 1.5.2 ("structured lists to assist with the organisation of articles") provides the foundation for my position, by which I permanently stand. — Stevie is the man! Talk | Work 00:24, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
- Several editors have already pointed out to you on several talk pages that this article never was a structured list of internal links. It was a thesaurus, plain and simple. Uncle G 16:41, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] undelete and redirect?
Are redirects to wiktionary possible? If so then I suggest it be undelete so that the history is preserved and then redirected and protected. -Andrew 16:10, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- Preserving the history would be necessary if we were building upon this article here. We are not. Uncle G 16:41, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- So you say... Preserving the history isn't necessarily, but having a copy of the last version of this article prior to its deletion might be helpful. -Andrew 18:51, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Submitted for undeletion
This article has been submitted for undeletion. It was deleted without a consensus being formed, after being wrongly resubmitted quickly after consensus failed the first time. — Stevie is the man! Talk | Work 19:44, 14 November 2005 (UTC) why was this page deleted?-Marc
- Wiktionary:Transwiki:Body parts slang has a copy now, so there is no reason left to undelete it here. --Kernigh 03:00, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Wikibooks
Someone blanked the comment that I posted here before. If I recall correctly, Wikibooks deleted its copy of "Body parts slang". --Kernigh 02:58, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Redirect to Slang?
Would it be a bad idea to have an article about how such slang develops? Or would that be the "good reason" in the protected deleted page message? Until such an article is developed, I suggest #REDIRECT [[Slang]].
--Damian Yerrick (☎) 14:07, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- I have left the page protected, but now redirecting to Slang.--Commander Keane 00:29, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
