Bobbili is a town and municipality in Vizianagaram district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, and its PIN is 532558. It is also a Parliamentary constituency of the Indian Parliament, and had 976,12 voters during the elections, held during April-May 2004 for the 14th Lok Sabha.

Bobbili is located at [1]. It has an average elevation of 103 metres (337 feet).

The town and kingdom of Bobbili was founded during the 17th century by Pedda Rayudu , who was the 15th descendant of the Rajah of Venkatagiri. The town was originally named "Pedda-puli" ("The Big Tiger") after a revered deity, however, with time, the name got transformed to "pebbuli", then "Bebbuli" and finally "Bobbili".
The battle of Bobbili in 1757, is one of the significant episodes in the history of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
During British India it had a population of 17,387 in 1901. It was the residence of a raja of old family, whose estate covered an area of 227 sq. m.; estimated income, £40,000; permanent land revenue, £9000.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Bobbili had a population of 50,140. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Bobbili has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 71% and female literacy of 56%. 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
