Boarhouse

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Doug and Marty's Boarhouse or Chesterfields, as it was previously known, is a 24 hour bar and restaurant located in central Moscow. The bar was opened in 1997 by Canadian Doug Steele along with expat club-owner Jean-Michel and Englishman Martin Bainbridge. Doug was previously the owner of the well known night club in Moscow, The Hungry Duck. Steele left the Boar House in 2006 to form the Doug Steele Restaurants venture, and to date has opened the popular Bleachers sports bar (2 locations), as well as a Mexican restaurant and a steak house.

The Boarhouse is a popular place for Moscow expats and visiting foreigners. Foreigners are attracted by the low priced food and alcohol, as well as the showing of major sporting events. However one of the other reasons for its popularity is due to Russian prostitutes.
