BOAC 500

The BOAC 500 was a sports car race run at Brands Hatch and sponsered by the British BOAC airline. Originally an exhibition race in 1966, it become part of the World Sportscar Championship in 1967. For 1969 the race was extended to 1000km, which ran until 1972, after which the World Sportscar Championship no longer returned.
