Talk:Bo Derek
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
How encyclopaedic is it to tell us which computer platform Bo Derek uses? -- Cimon Avaro on a pogostick 00:59, Mar 1, 2004 (UTC)
If we lose that then why not get rid of Bo Derek? The point about the Bo Derek PC vs Mac story is that it questions (by allegory) the way we view her. You have followed the link at the bottom of the page to the underlying story, haven't you? Paul Beardsell 01:35, 1 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- I very much agree. Some of the things that make Wikipedia interesting is that it gives information that you often can't find anywhere else, and triggers your interest to read more. I was the one who added that bit of information, so I'll also vote for keeping it :) --Vikingstad 02:16, 1 Mar 2004 (UTC)
someone should change the picture. it makes here look like a right douche bag alien -vega007
Totally, and find a pic of her with her signature hairstyle.

[edit] Too many pics?
Do people not think there are too many images on this page? There needs to be much more text to sustain four images. The JPS 01:08, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but the recent edit concerning the pics looks horrible (on my browser anyway). I really think we should consider removing a couple of images. The JPS 22:35, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Source?
" at the scenes of actual intercourse "
what is the source for this?
[edit] Worst Actress claim is iffy...
I am not so sure that the Worst Actress of the Century nomination is accurate. If you check out 2000 Golden Raspberry Awards and 1999 Golden Raspberry Awards, she is not nominated in either year according to those articles. Also, I don't see a citation for that worst actress claim. Either one of those articles is wrong or this one is. Stiles 04:11, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] This seems very non-academic and not worthy of wikipedia
"The sex-drenched Bolero (1984) essentially ended any possibility of a substantial film career. Critics and viewers looked carefully at the scenes of actual intercourse to spot a body double for Derek, and found none.
Her subsequent role in her husband's production Ghosts Can't Do It firmly cemented her reputation as a sex object."
I agree - so posted both a Tone and POV notice. Handicapper 15:43, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
