The Blyth & Tyne Railway was a railway in Northumberland. It was chiefly a coal-carrying network linking collieries in Ashington, Seghill and Blyth to the river Tyne at Percy Main. It later linked to Tynemouth and Newcastle upon Tyne, providing a passenger service to Whitley Bay which would lead to its development as a resort. It was absorbed by the North Eastern Railway in 1874.
