[edit] Rovers article

Thanks for adding the additional, but generally one can not cut and past copies of websites into articles as it would violate Wikipedias copyright provisions. The text in question is from http://www.shamrockrovers.ie/squad_2006.html and is copyrighted by club, in order for wikipedia to use the text the permission must be given directly from the club being explicit in that wikipedis is allowed to use the text, otherwise wikipedia could be in violation of the clubs copyright on the text. Please review Wikipedia:Copyright and Wikipedia:Copyright FAQ for more information. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 05:53, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

Humm i missed that part, but it does state that the note applies to programme editors, and being that were not publishing programs it would still be in the best to seek permission or at the least seek a clarification of the language to see that if a site such as this would be acceptable for the republishment of the information. Also if they were to allow the information to be republished the best way to do it would not be to include it all in the rovers articles but to create separate articles for the players, you might want to take a look at some the EPL clubs like Everton F.C., Arsenal F.C., and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. for what club articles should be striving for, though i am not expecting any of the Irish teams to ever get to the complexity of those articles. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 02:46, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sack (band)

You added some references regarding this band to my talk page. However, I was looking for reliable sources from external media (newspapers, magazines, etc.) so it can be distinguished from any other garage band. See WP:BAND for details. Fagstein 07:14, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
