Talk:Blue Mountains panther i live in the blue mountains and this is interesting because the last thing i want to happen when i go camping is being attacked by some vicious feline. I wonder if this legend has any truth to it, it sounds a bit unrealistic in some sections.. I also wonder, if indeed this story is untrue it must have something to do with the Penrith Panthers Club..or maybe thats how the came up with their mascot!! It could go both ways!!

So if this/these panther creature(s) are infact real i hope they will stay in Lithgow or higher up in the mountains.

Ok..well this is the first time I have done something like this on Wikipedia,I was just interested in this panther issue.

Im sure movie makers/writers and the like will EAT this story up, infact some ALREADY HAVE!

Good-bye! Tara

[edit] Sources

Is there some source for the "Penrith Panther" claim, or is that just someone here linking the football club to the phantom cat, because Penrith is adsjacent to the Blue Mountains?

Same goes for the safari park claim. As far as I can recall, Bullens Lion Safari at Wallachia (which is the safari park referred to) had lots of lions, but no panthers. Can someone confirm this? --Gene_poole 01:18, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
