Blurr is the fastest Autobot on land. He's a close descendant to a thoroughbred Cybertronic race horse, and a superior messenger. He can quickly whisk information from one place to another. In robot mode, he carries an electro-laser that reverses the polarity of an enemy robot's microcircuts and leaves them motionless. In vehicular mode, he can travel faster than the speed of sound, leaving a blurred image in his trail.

[edit] Targetmaster (1987)

The fastest Autobot land vehicle -- and he talks even faster; often has to be told to slow down so he can be understood. Nervous, high-strung, loyal, determined. Paired with Haywire, excitable Nebulan teenager whose impulsiveness makes him a chancy electro-laser cannon, at best.

[edit] Animated Series

Blurr first appeared in the Transformers movie. He continued to appear in season 3 of the television series.

In the three part series The Rebirth, Blurr became a Targetmaster, with his partner Haywire.

[edit] Headmasters

In the Japanese exclusive Headmasters series the events of The Rebirth were ignored. Blurr continued to appear as a member of the cast, and never became a Targetmaster.

[edit] Marvel Comics

Blurr appeared in the Headmasters limited series as one of the Autobot crew led by Fortress Maximus. He became a Targetmaster in the fourth and final issue of the series. Blurr first appeared in issue 42 of the regular Transformers series.

[edit] Dreamwave Comics

Blurr was a member of a cell of Autobots in resistance to the leadership of Shockwave on Cybertron until Shockwave was overthrown by Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus.

Although Targetmaster Blurr received bio pages in Dreamwave's More Than Meets The Eye series, he never appeared in the comic stories before the company closed.

Blurr (Silverbolt in Japan) appeared in the Transformers: Armada series.

Hasbro Tech Spec: Blurr is a no-nonsense powerhouse of decisive action. His all-work-no-play attitude often places him in friendly but heated competition with Hot Shot. Equipped with ultra speed, precision attack capabilities and a special flight attack mode, something of which few Autobots have, Blurr's cool defiance in the face of apparent defeat make him one of the most awe-inspiring Autobots in battle… but are skill, discipline, and bravery enough to fend off the deadliest Decepticon attacks?

Blurr tends to push himself beyond the limits of his design. This can be as simple as neglecting to refuel while in the middle of a mission to taking on more than he can handle on the battlefield. Nothing sickens Blurr more than the sight of Autobot warriors who care more about personal glory than getting the mission accomplished—and don't ask him how he feels about cowards unless you want an extended speech on the importance of courage. Blurr's a tough, quick thinking warrior who casually dismisses the accolades he's earned from his numerous victories. He acts without hesitation for the sake of the job, and he's always willing to put 110% into the most thankless task as long as it helps achieve the Autobots' goals. His calm demeanor and absolute unwillingness to accept defeat have made him one of the most respected warriors in the army. With his nose-to-the grindstone work ethic, it's no surprise that Blurr finds himself at odds with younger Autobots like Hot Shot. Although the rivalry between these two remains on friendly terms, Blurr considers Hot Shot a bit of a slacker and constantly pushes him to excel.

Blurr has only above-average strength and endurance. but his great intelligence, determination, and incredible speed make him a frightening fighter. He has blazing speed in his ground-based vehicle mode. as well as in his flight-attack mode (making him one of the few Autobots capable of flying).

[edit] Transformers: Cybertron

The Armada Blurr mold was remolded and released first in Galaxy Force in a two-pack set also under the name Blurr which also included Buzzsaw. This remold did not include the Mini-Con that came with the Armada version but gained a new Force Chip gimmick. This later came to America as an individual release. Although there is a civilian Autobot vehicle in the TV series that resembles Blurr, it is unlikely that that is actually Blurr.

The release of Blurr in Cybertron Deluxe wave 3.5 was packaged with a DVD containing the third episode of Transformers: Cybertron, called "Hidden". He appeared in the episode, unnamed, in vehicle mode only.

Bio: A former race champion, BLURR retired years ago and has since made a career coaching younger speedsters in the subtleties of racing. He is a tough teacher, with a gruff personality that often comes across as bad-tempered to those who don’t know him. Long-time students of his know, however, that his demanding temperament hides a gentle Spark. He is tough on those who come to him for training because he takes their successes and failures personally, and he requires no less of his students – and himself - than their best.
