Blue MauMau or bluemaumau.org is an online franchisee community. The purpose of the site is to be an open community in which franchisees and soon-to-be franchisees share critical franchise information needed to make intelligent business decisions. Any news or information on franchising (positive, negative or neutral) is eligible to be posted on site. There is no charge or registration required to freely roam the site; however, posting a blog requires a brief registration.

An active portal (one of its technical pillars is Web 2.0), Blue MauMau is a gathering point for information that is of interest and benefit to the franchisee community. It provides franchising RSS news feeds, business and franchising information, camaraderie and amusement.

Readers can post comments on articles, blog, ask for advice from industry experts, consult the on-site Franchipedia (a Wikipedia devoted to the franchise industry), check the latest franchising books, download UFOCs (Uniform Franchise Offering Circular), etc., all without charge. The site includes a search function. As a social media, more and more information and shared franchise knowledge will be made available of franchisees, by franchisees and for franchisees.

The site has many functions, technical and other, and different categories of information. It can be a bit bewildering at first. But the site has made noticeable improvements in user friendliness and has added an introductory section on the front page to help.
