On August 30, 2002, a Lear Jet over-ran Runway 4 on landing, killing one passenger. [1]

- On August 27, 2006, a CRJ-100ER operated by regional carrier Comair (Comair Flight 5191), crashed while attempting to take off from the wrong runway. There were 49 fatalities, with the first officer, James Polehinke, being the only survivor.
