Blue Eyed OS (B.E.OS.) is an open source computer programming project with the goal of creating an operating system similar in appearance and general feel to BeOS, an operating system formerly produced by the now-defunct Be Incorporated. The project, started in July 2001 by Guillaume Maillard, aims to re-build the BeOS API on top of the Linux kernel and the X Window System. Its goal is source code compatibility, allowing BeOS programs to be recompiled unmodified, and then run on it.

BlueEyedOS.com Now states: "We are back, stay tuned...

Guillaume"

However as of November 2006 this message has been there for greater than a year.
