Blu-Tack
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Blu-Tack is a reusable putty-like pressure-sensitive adhesive often used for attaching posters to walls. The original version was blue, but myriad colours are now available. It is based on a formulation consisting of synthetic rubber, polymers, oil, and inorganic fillers. Although its original purpose is unknown, it is commonly used as a temporary adhesive for minor art work, as well as other minor household adhesive requirements.
Blu-Tack is a trademark of company Bostik, a subsidiary of French mineral oil company Total.
Similar products from other manufacturers include "Buddies" (pink), "Pritt-Tack", "Tac 'N Stick", and it is also called "Sticky Tack". White Tack is similar but white, made by German Company UHU.
