I didn't think I was doing anything wrong. I cited the sources, and I thought it was ok to copy and paste the stuff.

Citing sources is fine. However, when you cite sources, if it's a direct quote, you put the passage in quotes. Otherwise, you paraphrase. Just because cutting and pasting is easy doesn't make it legal in this case. Jasmol 02:58, 25 November 2005 (UTC)

Well, I want to re-write the article. Can I just re-write it? Or should I give up on writing about "Maya Bloodletting" Everytime I look on Wikipedia, it still says "Possible copyright violation".

If you edit the page to rewrite it, simply remove the "copyvio" tag. Jasmol 01:10, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

Ok. thanks.

Do not rewrite the article on the same page, please use a temp page like Maya Bloodletting/temp. Thanks. «»Who?¿?meta 07:58, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Was copyright taken care of?

  • I assumed this article is not copyvio now, so I cleaned it up. Let us know if it still wasn't resolved. --dcabrilo 01:28, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
