Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings is the 1994 direct-to-video sequel to 1989's widely popular horror film Pumpkinhead.

A highlight of the film is the genre casting, including Andrew Robinson (Hellraiser), Ami Dolenz (Witchboard 2), J. Trevor Edmond (Return of the Living Dead III) and Joe Unger (A Nightmare On Elm Street). There's also a cameo appearance by Roger Clinton (brother of then US President Bill Clinton) as Mayor Bubba.

Two additional sequels, titled Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes and Pumpkinhead: Love Hurts, were filmed in 2006 as made for television movies to be aired on the Sci-Fi Channel with possible limited theatrical releases being considered. Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes aired October 28th of 2006 with Pumpkinhead: Love Hurts airing at some point in 2007 [1]. However, both of these sequels ignore the events of Blood Wings.

[edit] Trivia

When Miss Aussie (the witch) pulls the table cloth down and starts the fire that kills her, she is reaching for the Necromonicon Book of the Dead from Army of Darkness. KNB Effects worked on both films and included it as a joke, much like they did in Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday.

In the movie "Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings" the leader of the spoiled young brats, who raise Pumpkinhead from the dead, drives a red Oldsmobile 442 convertible with a white top/interior. Details on the car make it appear to be a 1970 model.
