[edit] Education
Bloor C.I. is known for its excellence in education [citation needed], high graduation rate[citation needed], as well as universities / College enrolment rate. In grade 9 and 10, courses such as mathematics, science, etc. are offered at three level, Enriched, Academic and Applied. Academic level courses gear up students who are thinking of universities as their post secondary education, while applied level courses teach practical topics and are for students who want an education in college. Enriched is a new level that was added recently, it is for students who are not satisfied with Academic courses and have strong interest in learning. In grade 11 and 12, Academic level becomes University level while applied level becomes College level. While the general distinction remains, some courses are only offered at the university level, such as Geometry and Algebra. Students graduated from Bloor Collegiate Institute go into all kinds of different post-secondary education. University of Toronto is the biggest target for graduated students.
