Bloody Fist Records

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bloody Fist Records was an independent record label based in Newcastle, Australia.

At 3pm AEST on October 1, 2004, the label shut its doors after ten years of serving the underground music community. It is believed that the record label called it quits due to founder Mark Newlands becoming fed up with the world of running an independent record label, specifically following an order of tapes which were going to be sent back to the manufacturer for a third time due to the fact that they were "inconsistent and [of] poor sound quality… The cassettes look great but the sound and dubbing quality are still well below standard—we couldn't even give the fucking things away in their current state…"

Bloody Fist was one of the most prolific labels involved in hardcore/gabber, industrial, breaks, and noise related genres of music. Artists who were with Bloody Fist since its birth include Syndicate, Xylocaine, Memetic, Guyver and especially Nasenbluten.
