Bloodvein River is a pristine river on the East side of Lake Winnipeg, in Manitoba, Canada, with no logging roads nearby. Many enjoy canoeing and fishing in this river. Swimming is pleasant in the summer because of the warmer water than most larger or mountain fed rivers. First Nation peoples have used the river for centuries, and petroglyphs can be found on a few shoreline cliffs. This very clean and warm water river drains from the Canadian Shield into Lake Winnipeg. It will potentially be a part of a United Nations World Heritage Site and park.
