Blood Red
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Blood Red is a song written and performed by Slayer for their 1990 album, Seasons In The Abyss .
The lyric subject matter deals with oppressive communist governments and the way they "Enforce truth through a gun". There are four simultaneous solos at the 1 minute 35 second mark.
Tempo of the song is reminiscent of the slower Slayer tunes featured on Seasons In The Abyss, such as Dead Skin Mask and Skeletons of Society.
The song is an allusion, or at least has its inspiration, in the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.
