Talk:Blinky (novelty)

  • I can't find any references for these. All I can say is they exist, I've bought hundreds of them, and there are dozens of online companies (see next) that sell them. I'm a little raw here but I think it's a little uptight to force me to reference something so trivial as opposed to something scientific or politically controvertial. • I really hate giving just one company as an example but they do have the biggest selection I've seen, and that's practically all they sell. I did a Froogle search and came up with the following results which you can use to find other companies:

body + light 18,868 (arts and entertainment category)

"body light" 777

blinky + light 253

"blinky light" 8

magnetic + flasher 269

"magnetic flasher" 14

flashing jewelry 2137

"flashing jewelry" 36

I chose blinky over all the other names because the sites that sell the most (or only blinkies) usually use that name. In the industry, Body Lights usually implies ONLY the magnetic version and also usually excludes rings, pendants and other similar things, that function almost exactly the same. Blinky itself produced over 700k results which were impossible to separate the 'blinky toy' from 'blinky everything else'. Tiki God 10:46, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
