BlizzCon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
BlizzCon was a convention held by Blizzard Entertainment at the Anaheim Convention Center to celebrate their major franchises Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo. It was held for the first time from October 28 to 29th in 2005. Some features of BlizzCon included the release of new World of Warcraft content, a songwriting contest judged by Jonathan Davis of Korn, and Blizzard developer Q&A sessions. Attendees received two cards, each with a special code. One code allowed the attendee to sign up for The Burning Crusade beta test[1]. The other allowed players to obtain Murky the pet murloc in-game at Ironforge's Forlorn Cavern or Ogrimmar's Valley of Honor.
