Blind Pew (band)

Blind Pew is a four-piece Scottish band formed in Largs in 2003. The band combines Andy McGregor (lead vocals/keyboard), Paul McGranaghan (guitar/vocals), Stu McIntosh (bass/vocals) and Del Lamont (drums) who in there own words "rocked there way free of small town life". The four met in high school and have been playing together ever since.

Blind pew have recently been signed to A-List Records in London

Blind Pew are now mainly based in Glasgow and have been met with enthusiasm by critics and crowds alike. There first release the "You're Claimed! EP" has also proved popular and air-time on BBC Radio Scotland and XFM Scotland have helped raise the band's profile. The band is currently not signed but released its EP under its own record label Smokey Bear Records. After the release of there EP Blind Pew were featured as "Artist of the Week" on Karma Download and were invited to play a number of high profile gigs including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They also supported numerous other band including The Subways, Littl'ans and The Hazey Janes.

Blind Pew songwriting duties are shared by Singer Andrew McGregor and Guitarist Paul McGranaghan. The band is well known for is dark humour, with songs such as "I Just Ran Over My Girlfriend". The band also has quite as diverse range of songs ranging form the rocky "Devil In I" to the softer "Memories For Show".

The band's styling is like that of meanly Scottish Indi band notably Franz Ferdinand. They also express concern on there website that a record company will "try and enlist us into the skinny-tie brigade." They describe themselves on there website as "the skinny one, the long-haired one, the scary one and the drummer"
