Blendo

Blendo was a combat robot designed and built by Jamie Hyneman and wired by Adam Savage. The robot had a spinning shell made of a wok and powered by a lawnmower engine. It competed in the first Robot Wars in San Francisco. After two fights it was deemed too hazardous by the event supervisors to compete. The wok weaponry caused significant damage to other robots, hurling pieces of armor over the Lexan shields into the audience.
Blendo would later compete in several BattleBots competitions. However, Blendo had little success in BattleBots, often the robot would damage itself during battle.
In some way, Blendo's construction and competition resulted in the creation of the Discovery Channel show, MythBusters, which also features fellow competitor, Grant Imahara.
