Bleak House was the 1985 adaptation by the BBC of the Charles Dickens novel of the same name. It ran for eight episodes and starred Diana Rigg as Lady Dedlock, with Denholm Elliott in the role of John Jarndyce, and Philip Franks as Richard Carstone. It should not be confused with the 2005 television adaptation, also from the BBC.
