Blaydon is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.

It comprises the towns of Blaydon, Whickham, Ryton, Birtley and surrounding villages in the suburbs of Gateshead.

Following their review of parliamentary representation in Tyne and Wear, the Boundary Commission for England has created a modified Blaydon constituency to be fought at the 2009 or 2010 general election, from the following electoral wards;
- Birtley, Blaydon, Chopwell and Rowlands Gill, Crawcrook and Greenside, Dunston Hill and Whickham East, Lamesley, Ryton, Crookhill and Stella, Whickham North, Whickham South and Sunniside, and Winlaton and High Spen
