Blackwattle Bay Campus is the senior campus of Sydney Secondary College.
The school was established in 1979 as Glebe High School, with 109 students and 17 staff members, all housed in demountable classrooms. Permanent buildings were built in the early 1980s. In 2002, the school became part of Sydney Secondary College and was renamed Blackwattle Bay Campus.
As of 2005, Blackwattle Bay Campus is exclusively a senior campus catering for Years 11 and 12. This enables the school to offer one of the largest range of HSC courses in Sydney. Like all SSC campuses, Blackwattle Bay Campus is partially selective. The HSC results of Blackwattle are of a fairly high standard.
Blackwattle Bay Campus is located in Glebe on Blackwattle Bay and is just a few minutes walk from the Sydney Fish Market and Star City Casino. The Glebe light rail station is just a few metres from school. Blackwattle is generally considered the best campus of Sydney Secondary College as a result of its location.
