Black and White is a 1999 film directed by James Toback, starring a cast of young actors and celebrities including Elijah Wood, Claudia Schiffer, Brooke Shields, Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., Jared Leto, Joe Pantoliano, Allan Houston and a number of rap musicians. The movie also notably features Ben Stiller in a rare dramatic role as a sleazy police detective, as well as Mike Tyson playing himself.

The movie vaguely explores the relationships between different Black and White people in New York, New York circa 2000.

It raised some controversy prior to release when the MPAA gave the film an NC-17 rating, which was later downgraded to an R rating after the re-editing of a sex scene. The uncensored sequence was later released on the internet by the film's producers, who used it to nurture discussion on the censorship.
