Black Saturday is in France the busiest day of the year when many people go on holiday. This Saturday is usually at the end of July.

Especially Autoroute du Soleil, the highway to the south of France and Spain is processing a lot of traffic. In 2004 there was more than 700 km traffic congestion.

The term Black Saturday means that also a lot of (deadly) accidents happen.
