[edit] Additional information
Although the record's sleeve may lead you to believe this is a heavy metal record, this album has more of a classic rock feel (reminiscent of Led Zeppelin and Neil Young), while the collective energy of the band's sound may bring to mind 21st century indie-rock (such as The Arcade Fire). Although the band does not consider themselves political, there are a few songs with an abundance of political statements ("Don't run our hearts around/Let's find a better place/And quit this whole damn race"; "'Cause nobody likes your f*cked up plans/Of shooting up some foreign land"). This LP also reveals the band's discontent for modern music, especially in "No Hits" and the opening track. Don't be turned off by the heaviness-- they manage to lighten up a little on The Velvet Underground-esque "No Satisfaction" and the would-be stoner anthem, "Druganaut".
