Black Metal ist Krieg ("Black Metal is War" in German) is a black metal album from the one man band Nargaroth. The phrase "Black Metal ist Krieg" has been often parodied; for example, 1.

The image on the cover, showing the only member René "Kanwulf" Wagner, very closely resembles a promotional photograph of infamous black metal musician Varg Vikernes 3.

Kanwulf wants this release to be seen as a kind of "tribute" to black metal. Besides cover songs of famous black metal bands, this album features songs dealing with events concerning the history black metal and salutes to dead black metal musicians.
