Black Hills Ammunition is an ammunition and reloading supplies manufacturing company that has developed a reputation for very accurate, very standardized ammunition in a varied multitude of calibers. Black Hills has grown very popular among Cowboy Action Shooters (see SASS) due to the fact that they produce quality ammunition in a number of almost completely unavailable and otherwise obsolete calibers, such as .44 Russian, .38 Long Colt, .44-40 and others. This company's products have also become popular among various law-enforcement agencies, competition shooters, and hunters (particularly varminters) due to the extreme uniformity of the ammunition; this allows a shooter to place his shots with a high level of precision.
