The Black Enterprise Golf & Tennis Challenge was established in 1994 at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami, Florida. Understanding that not all power plays occur in the boardroom, more than 1,500 corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals came together over Labor Day weekend for what was to become the premier business/networking event in the African American community. In 2006, the event will be held at the La Costa Golf Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.

In February 2006, Black Enterprise debuted its Women of Power Summit, a four-day career enhancement seminar designed exclusively for women executives of color. Held at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona, the event attracted more than 500 professional women from across the country, representing corporate America and entrepreneurs.
