Black Beat
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Black Beat (블랙 비트) is Korean pop group. Black Beat belongs to SM Entertainment. A few of their members have appeared elsewhere (most notably in S.E.S.'s Twilight Zone and Shinhwa's All Your Dreams music video), but for the most part their public appearances (and subsequent popularity) have been limited. This can be attributed to a number of things: the waning popularity of poppy rap, the lack of "hot" members, and the decreasing amount of SM's PR power (which since 2004 has focussed on a few core groups and singers). However, they have appeared on the last SMTown album, '06 Summer SMTown, showing that they are still active. Due to the group's exceptional dancing skills, Black Beat has been training the new SM trainees at the Starlight Academy and assisting with choreographies including BoA's debut hit ID Peace B.
