BJ Shea

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

BJ Shea was the host of The BJ Shea Experience, a highly rated midday talk show, on KQBZ FM (Seattle) before the station adopted a country format in December 2005. Despite having been dismissed (and subsequently reinstated) by Entercom, KISW's parent company in 2000, after the format change, BJ Shea was tapped to replace Howard Stern on KISW-FM (99.9)[1].

Shea is known in the webcomics world for his on air confrontation with Mike Krahulik ("Gabe" of the comic Penny Arcade) during a phone interview regarding the annual Seattle charity event Child's Play, which is sponsored by Penny-Arcade [2].

Morning crew members include: Top Shelf (his engineer who had a little too much to drink the night before), Double R, Steve the Producer (formerly of the Andy Savage show on both K-Rock and KNDD) and The Reverend En Fuego.

Other crew members in the past from the KQBZ years include: Brad (referred to on the show as "the producer from hell" accompanied by the sound bite "what a dick!"), Arik (now with Bob Rivers Morning Show on KZOK-FM 102.5 in Seattle), That Guy Ty (Sportsdesk from the Ron & Don Morning Show), Short Bus Sean, Troy and Gary. "That's Jarrod" left the show after receiving a new job.

"That's Jarrod" is currently an overnight newsanchor for KOMO 1000 News in Seattle, Washington.
