Bixby Knolls is a neighborhood of Long Beach, California.
An affluent area of Long Beach nestled between the North Long Beach, California Heights, and Wrigley areas of Long Beach. Low end homes in this area start at $800,000 while the higher end homes, a few of which are on gated streets, sell for as much as $3,000,000. The area has a large shopping center and a concentration of retail, restaurants, and small businesses, especially along Atlantic Avenue. The area has long had a large Jewish population, but is increasingly multi-ethnic. The two Bixby Knolls public schools, Longfellow Elementary and Hughes Middle School, are nationally-ranked Blue Ribbon Schools. Long Beach's Virginia Country Club golf course and Rancho Los Cerritos, a California Historical site, are located in the adjacent Los Cerritos neighborhood, sometimes considered a part of Bixby Knolls.
