The company was founded on September 22nd, 2004 by Bram Cohen, and Ashwin Navin, BitTorrent's CEO and President respectively.The company has announced plans to release a web-based store to sell movies and TV shows from its website. BitTorrent Inc. also maintains the BitTorrent protocol.
